The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Department specializes in diagnostic and treatment of various vascular diseases and health problems related to the blood vessels and the lymph system. The hospital’s experts and surgeons provide comprehensive treatment to people of all ages who have complex and serious conditions of vascular diseases.

The vascular surgeons also work closely with other departments in the hospital such as the department of Cardiology, Nephrology, Oncology, Neurology, Pediatric and the Radiology departments.

The department performs surgical operations and treats various diseases of the blood vessels and lymphatic system, which include:

Diagnostic and treatment of aortic aneurysm
Treatment of arteriosclerosis of lower limbs arteries
Diagnostic and treatment of aortic dissection
Diagnostic and treatment of arteriovenous malformation (AVM)
Treatment of lower limbs varicose veins using surgical, laser and RF ablation
Treatment of deep veins thromboses
Diagnostic and treatment of arteriovenous fistula
Treatment of carotid arteries disease using vascular and endovascular surgery methods
Supporting the hemodialysis and oncology patients – performed arteriovenous shunt, permanent catheter insertion for hemodialysis and port catheter insertion for chemotherapy

Dr. Ammar Amro is a Vascular Surgeon Consultant with over 14 years of experience. Currently he is the Head of The Vascular Surgery Department at Istishari Arab Hospital.

Prior to joining Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah, Dr. Amro worked as associated professor at the Medical Government Academy in Dnipro – Ukraine, Vascular Surgeon Consultant at the Dnipro Regional Hospital - Ukraine, Vascular Surgeon at Helios Hospital - Germany and Head of Vascular Surgery Department at Hebron Governmental Hospital and the Palestinian Medical Complex - Ramallah - Palestine.

Dr. Amro graduated from the Faculty of Medical Governmental University - Zabrojia - Ukraine. He continued his specialized training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in the city of Dnipro - Ukraine.
