
CURRICULUM VITAE
Dr. Fawaz Awad is an Assistant Professor of Human Genetics with more than 10 years of experience. He is currently a Human Geneticist at the Molecular Genetics Lab at the Istishari Arab Hospital and the Director of Molecular Genetics Research Lab at the faculty of Medicine at Al-Quds University.
Dr. Awad graduated from the Faculty of Medicine from Al-Quds University – Palestine and received his Ph.D. degree in Human Genetics from the Sorbonne University in Paris – France. He worked for many years at the Medical Genetics Department in Trousseau Hospital for Children in Paris.
Dr. Awad’s primary research interests focus on the molecular and cellular basis of male infertility, primary ciliary dyskinesia and monogenic systemic autoinflammatory disorders. His collaborative work has contributed to the discovery of new genes and the identification of novel variants implicated in these disorders. Dr. Awad has many papers published in peer-reviewed journals and received many research grants and scientific awards.
