The Istishari Arab Hospital provides a comprehensive range of advanced services to test, diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of diseases of the Endocrine system in the pediatric age group including short stature and growth hormone treatment, thyroid problems, obesity, delayed and precocious puberty, adrenal problems and bone health.

The unit of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes offers a wide range of services for young diabetic patients including personal treatment plans and follow up together with dietitian and the medical staff, diabetes management using insulin pump and careful follow up for complications of diabetes.

In addition to endocrine follow up in the pediatric age group following cancer treatment.

    • Growth deficiencies and short stature including growth hormone stimulation tests and other stimulation tests

    • Adrenal function deficiencies

Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology Consultant

Dr. Najwa Abdulhaq is a Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology Consultant.

Prior to joining Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah, Dr. Abdulhaq works and still working as a part time in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabtetes in Hadassah Hospital Jerusalem.

Dr. Abdulhaq graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Hamburg University - Germany, she trained at several German hospitals and at the Kings College Hospital in London - England, she did her specialization in pediatrics at the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem followed by specializing in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.
