The Istishari Arab Hospital provides a comprehensive range of advanced services to test, diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of diseases of the endocrine system in the adults age group including diabetes mellitus type One and Tow and acute and chronic complication, thyroid problems, obesity, adrenal problems and bone health.

In the endocrine unit, we follow patients with thyroid nodules and cancer and we can introduce thyroid biopsy and surgery in expert hands with pre and post operation follow up. In addition, we have good experience in treating patients with hypercalcemia who needs surgery in the parathyroid gland.

For the first time in Palestine, the hospital started performing one of the important tests that can be done with teamwork between interventional radiology and endocrine to diagnostic test for patients presented with adrenal adenoma to detect which gland is responsible for hormonal secretion.

The unit of adult endocrinology and diabetes also offers a wide range of services for diabetic patients including personal treatment plans and follow up together with a dietitian and medical staff.

Adult Endocrinology Consultant

Dr. Mohammed Zaidan is a Consultant of Endocrinology with more than 15 years of experience. Currently he is working as Adult Endocrinology Consultant at Istishari Arab Hospital.

Prior to joining Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah, Dr. Zaidan worked at Islamic Hospital – Jordan in the Department of Internal Medicine and at the National Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Jordan University Hospital – Amman. He served as Medical Director at the Palestinian Institute for Diabetes in Ramallah.

Dr. Zaidan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine from Al Fashir University, Sudan. Then he continued his specialized training in Internal Medicine at the Islamic Hospital, Amman, and completed his specialization in Endocrinology from the National Center for Diabetes and Endocrine - Jordan University Hospital – Amman.
